Our Story
Meet Sarah
She was the one with the big idea
While retraining as a Garden Designer, Sarah realised that great gardens should be for everyone - not just for those with deep pockets and big spaces.
She first tried out a planter to replace a client's disused trampoline, and the result was so transformative that she knew then that this could be a solution for lots of different problems: small or shady spaces, newbuilds with poor soil, unsightly features needing disguised. A well-designed planter brings a presence more impactful than just timber, soil and plants.
Working in her gardening maintenance business taught Sarah the importance of reflecting both the space and the client's personal style - all of which led to the idea of FloraBox!

Sarah believes gardens are a place to rediscover our vitality at all ages, and to feel just a bit freer and wilder.

Meet Anna
She was the one that said, 'Let's make it happen!'
Anna always had a love of art and the outdoors but she sought a career that would help others, leading her to train as a nurse.
Later on, she would discover gardening as a way to process grief, and filled her garden with flowers, which became a form of therapy. She realised that creating beautiful spaces and enabling people to connect with nature was also facilitating healing.
She retrained in Garden Design in Edinburgh. On the first day the first person she spoke to was Sarah, and they became instant friends. Anna wanted to find a way to bring her personal experience, nursing, and garden design together. When she heard Sarah's idea she realised that Florabox was the answer! It makes the healing power of nature more accessible for people and could even be used in hospices, nurseries and care homes. This passion drove her to make Sarah's idea a reality.

Anna believes that plants can be transformative to people just as much as to spaces, bringing brightness and joy to everyday life.
